Go, go, go!

Hello from Melbourne! Our engineering team, including myself and James Graham, are back in Australia for the second time this year. It's the first race of the 2017 F1 season and we've had great week in the Australian autumn sun!

With a new season comes new challenges, and we're excited to say that as well as providing workflow support and consultation to Gearhouse Broadcast for the Sky Sports Europe operation, we also now supply edit facilities and EVS integration to Presteigne Broadcast and Whisper Films for Channel 4's coverage, meaning that the Collectv is integral to the operation for both UK broadcasters in the F1 International TV compound as we travel around the world.

Another exciting development for us is that we're also seeing the first ever F1 pictures in UHD. Available to Sky Q customers in the UK, the UHD experience takes F1 viewing to another level, the new cars look truly incredible!

We're live on Sky Sports all weekend, with highlights available to terrestrial viewers on Channel 4.
