Open Season

Summer's heating up in Australia, and today marks the start of this year's Australian Open. We're in Melbourne, working for Gearhouse Broadcast and Tennis Australia, the host broadcaster. The whole Gearhouse team has spent the last 2 weeks building the facilities for the tournament, with coverage from over 20 courts going out to broadcasters all over the world.

The EVS system we're responsible for has 27 XT3 replay and ingest servers and a host of IP Directors and XTAccess servers streaming media to 900TB of storage, supplied by our friends at PixIT Media.
